Helsinki- and then there were nine

On this evidence, it seems that 2010 might be exactly the opposite of 2009. And, if you cast your mind back to 2009, that comes as very good news!

Today went in a flash, probably due to the aggressiveness of the crazy Scandies, but from that flash, I have emerged with something near the average stack for the final table.

Things fell into my lap today, just in the way they sometimes fell out of it in 2009. I felt I played some situations pretty well, but the end result had far more to do with two double ups that were perfectly timed, coming just when I needed them.

Also perfectly timed is this run, right at the start of the year, and I feel so so lucky and excited to have this spot in the year’s first event.

I have unfortunately forgotten my camera lead (as well as not bothering to pack anything for Saturday, confidence indeed!), but will put up a video as soon as I get back on Saturday.
