Constant Rijkenberg wins San Remo EPT
Dutch poker professional, Constant Rijkenberg, has taken the San Remo EPT crown in Italy. Rijkenberg was always well positioned throughout the poker tournament and he wasted no time in defeating his heads up opponent, Kalle Niemi, in one of the quickest heads up encounters in EPT history.
An amazing 1,177 players took part in San Remo, underlining the continuing popularity of the tour and the huge appeal of poker in Italy. Rijkenberg walked away €1,500,000 richer for his victory in this record breaking tournament.
Meanwhile, the EPT Grand Final started this week in Monte Carlo. Over 700 of the world’s top poker players are expected to take part in the €10,600 buy in main event. With several side events taking place including the super high stakes “high rollers” event, Monte Carlo, known for its wealthy residents, is set to make a few more millionaires this week. Hopefully our resident poker pro, Stuart Rutter, will be among them.

Like Son – Like Father, Moorman’s Keep it in the Family at GUKPT
Chris Moorman is one of the UK’s hottest poker talents. The youngster has won some pretty impressive poker tournaments in recent times and is both respected and feared by his peers.
Simon Moorman is Chris Moorman’s dad and, up until a few days ago, that was that. However, Simon Moorman has proved that anything his son can do, he can do too! Moorman Snr recently won the Manchester leg of the GUKPT for an £88,630 pay day. The result was only the second notable tournament success for Simon in poker.
Moorman Jnr said; “The only way I can top that is to win the WSOP main event!”
Reports that Chris Moorman’s mother has taken up the game have so far proven to be unfounded.
