Mid-week thoughts
Just thought I would give a quick update on the middle of the week. There has not been too much poker the last few days, but I’m really looking forward to the next installment of the GUKPT, starting on Friday in Thanet.
I feel it’s so difficult for your ‘live’ game to come together as easily as your online game, because of the rare opportunities to play deep-stacked, and because of the constant worries about avoiding bad luck. I have felt things coming together recently, and am really hungry for another chance after the disappoitment of my 8th place final table finish in Luton, and the bad beat just inside the cash in Barcelona.
Poker in Europe seems at its busiest in the Autumn, and it will be a busy couple of weeks for me. I go to Barcelona next Tuesday for the World Heads Up, and then to Ireland at the weekend for the Irish Winter Festival. I just hope I can emerge from a busy two weeks saying that “I played good.” That is not an easy task!
